Use this quick visual checklist to inspect your home for potential bed bug activity:
☐ Small, rice-like eggs or pale molted skins near bed seams
☐ Tiny black specks or reddish stains on sheets or pillowcases
☐ Blood smears on bed sheets or mattress from squished bugs
☐ Waking up with red, itchy bites, often in lines or clusters
☐ Bites or complaints from guests, kids, or pets sleeping in infested rooms
☐ Unexplained skin irritation or allergic reactions at night
☐ Detecting a musty, sweet odor near the bed or furniture
☐ Seeing live bugs (apple seed-sized, brown, flat) crawling on bedding or furniture
☐ Recently purchased used furniture or clothing
☐ Recently traveled (including but not limited to train, planes, and hotels)
☐ Found signs elsewhere: sofas, chairs, luggage, or baseboards
